The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst (Sr. PM / BA) – Business Operations & Administration to join the Business Technology team at System Office. We’re looking for someone who has experience serving students in a higher education business office and who wants to bring their project management knowledge to a large community college system. Examples of Duties
In this role you’ll manage projects and project teams to facilitate the on-time delivery of project objectives. CCCS-IT Business Technology projects may include the following : very large, complex and multi-year new product implementations; development of new solutions; enhancements to existing solutions; and various approaches to resolving issues introduced by upgrades, patches, or new requirements. The Sr. PM / BA follows established project management methodologies for each of their projects. You will provide leadership in establishing and documenting procedures for business process analysis, specifications identification, process mapping and determination of appropriate application programming interfaces (APIs) for use in meeting identified business needs. This role supervises one employee.
Duties Include :
- Drive the collaboration with relevant IT departments either contributing to, or impacted by, current services and projects.
- Collaborate with business users to develop business cases and to develop comprehensive project requests. Work closely with college functional user groups in areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Budget, Payroll, Auxiliary Enterprises, and Internal Audit.
- Facilitate the gathering of project requirements from various business users and technical staff members and develop written project and task specifications.
- Identify, verify, and record task dependencies, task efforts, and task durations. Create accurate, detailed, and organized project task details. Manage resource allocation / contention across projects.
- Follow established project management guidelines and processes to develop, maintain, and track project plans, conduct project meetings, and report project status, as appropriate.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Ellucian Banner product / service line and related third-party vendor products including the oversight and management of specific projects, staff, and deliverables.
