Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role is part-time with flexible after hours, working three days a week with hours scheduled from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM or as necessary to complete all tasks without disrupting operations
Duties
- General Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in office and common areas.
- Dust and wipe down desks, furniture, and office equipment.
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in commercial and residential spaces.
- Kitchen and Break Room:
- Clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, and tables daily.
- Clean the refrigerator weekly to ensure it remains tidy and hygienic.
- Restock break room supplies as needed (e.g., paper towels and dish soap).
- Bathroom Maintenance:
- Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, and bathroom surfaces.
- Replenish toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and other restroom supplies.
- Empty trash and sanitary bins regularly.
- Office Maintenance:
- Empty and clean trash bins in all office areas.
- Maintain tidy and organized common spaces, including conference rooms and reception areas.
- Report maintenance or supply issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure cleaning products are used safely and stored properly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and protocols.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage time effectively.
