*Position pay is $1,300.00 per credit hour.
Tentative Schedule:
Bus 1015: Introduction to Business: Mondays, Wednesdays, and alternating Fridays from 11:50-1:20
Bus 2017: Business Communication from 1:25-3:00
Position Purpose
The Business adjunct works under the supervision of the Academic Dean and is responsible for meeting all scheduled classes and providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of CEC, the community college, and the approved course syllabus.
Job Duties
- Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website.
- Develops and administers Business education curriculum consistent with community college objectives.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to enhance learning.
- Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of course work to everyday life.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods accordingly.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Organizes and maintains Infinite Campus (IC) for accurate and complete recordkeeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievements, and daily attendance as required in CEC policies.
- Ensures that student conduct conforms with CECs Student and Family Handbook and CEC policies.
- Collaborates with other CEC staff members and participates in staff meetings and professional development as requested by the Head of School.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Masters degree in education or core subject area, or to be deemed highly qualified according to CDE requirements.
- 18 or more graduate credits with the BUS prefix required.
- CTE courses also require a postsecondary CTE credential in accordance with regulations set by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. Visit http://coloradostateplan.com/administrator/credentialing/credentialing-postsecondary-criteria/ for more information.
- Prior to start, approval will be required by community college partner.
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Qualified to teach college level business courses.
- Appropriate State certification.
