Position Purpose
The School Counselor works under the supervision of the Head of School and is responsible for providing social-emotional support services to students to help them achieve academic success.
Job Duties:
- Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website.
- Provides limited, temporary social-emotional support services to students. Provides referrals to outside community groups and services when needed. Provides crisis intervention for students and families as emergencies arise.
- Provides individual and group check-ins and supports for students with emotional regulation, peer relationships, time management, organizational skills, communication, conflict resolution, and decision making skills.
- Collaborates with students, parents, instructors, and administrators in creating and implementing Safety Plans, MTSS Behavior and social Emotional Plans, and threat assessments.
- Participates as a member of the schools health professional team and attends MTSS and IEP meetings as required.
- Maintains strict confidentiality when providing services to students. Maintains complete and accurate student records in IC.
- Attends meetings and professional development as requested by Director of Student Services.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in discipline applicable to school counseling required.
- Colorado Department of Education requires an SSP license for all School Counselors.
- 1-3 years as a school counselor preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $73,792
