Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

The role begins with front desk responsibilities, then progresses to clinical support, office maintenance, billing, marketing, and HR-related duties. In essence, you will be trained to master every aspect of an ophthalmology office that does not require a medical license.

Key Responsibilities:
(Training will be provided where needed)

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying ID, insurance, and check-in forms.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, copay, and deductible.
  • Collect payments and manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
  • Answer phone calls, relay messages, and maintain clear communication with the team.
  • Clean exam rooms between patients.
  • Document patients' chief complaints, medical history, and medication lists.
  • Work up the patients: visual acuity, intraocular pressure, applying eye drops
  • Take clinical images, perform visual fields, refract the patient.
  • Uphold a professional atmosphere and appearance consistent with an ophthalmology clinic.
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado Eye Clinic policies, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in regular office and marketing meetings, both on-site and off-site.
  • Perform additional duties as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic.
  • Manage the office inventory and office maintenance
  • Manage billing, troubleshoot denied claims
  • Participate in marketing activities
  • Assist in HR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role.
  • Ideally interested in long-term opportunities with potential for advancement.
