STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Summary of Job Classification:
ITS Application Administrator is responsible for specialized, advanced, and complex professional support to coordinate and manage activities related to the support, deployment, configuration, and usage of departmental and/or other third-party business application system(s) to support the Judicial Department’s goals.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
This position is part of the Application Administration Team, a group dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and integration of business-critical applications. As a member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the systems that power organizational workflows and support operational success.
The Application Administration Team works at the intersection of business and technology, serving as the bridge between application vendors, end users, and internal technical teams. You will lead efforts to design, build, and test new systems, perform complex configurations, and support application enhancements. The role requires not only technical expertise but also strong collaboration and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and understand their evolving needs.

The preferred candidate will have::
- Low-Code/No-Code Automation Development Expertise:
Experience in designing and implementing automated workflows and processes using platforms such as Power Automate, ServiceNow, or other low-code/no-code tools. This includes the ability to create solutions that improve efficiency and support business operations.
- SaaS Systems Management and Product Support:
Experience working with a variety of SaaS platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft SharePoint & Intune, ServiceNow, HRIS platforms, and desk booking software. Candidates should include specific details in their application about any products or platforms they have administered, highlighting their role in supporting, configuring, and optimizing these systems. The candidate will also work closely with product owners to support the delivery of services, offering technical guidance and assistance in maximizing the value of these platforms.
- Problem Identification and Coordination:
Strong ability to identify and analyze issues across applications and systems. This includes effectively coordinating between vendors, stakeholders, and internal engineering teams to resolve problems, implement solutions, and ensure the seamless operation of business-critical applications.
- Technical Documentation and Training:
Strong skills in creating user-focused documentation, developing training materials, and delivering training sessions to empower end-users to effectively utilize available tools and systems.
- Proactive Innovation:
A mindset focused on identifying opportunities for business process improvement through innovative use of technology, coupled with the ability to build and advocate for solutions that align with long-term organizational goals.
This is a hybrid work position based in downtown Denver Colorado, at the Ralph Carr Judicial Center, with 1-2 days in the office per week. Employees must reside in the state of Colorado or within 30 miles of the Colorado state border.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leads projects to build specifications, justify, design, build, implement or enhance, and test systems and applications to meet dynamic business needs. Performs complex configuration, change management and testing activities to support a service-oriented architecture.
Monitor the software application(s), document and analyze problems.
Collaborate with ITS staff and vendors to ensure proper integration of the application(s) and troubleshoot problems.
Designs and performs regression, impact, and acceptance testing for each security role. Manages test and production environments separately.
Maintain system documentation.
Plan, coordinate, test, and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules, and new services with ITS and the Judicial. Ensuring business operations will be supported both now and in the future.
Develops and deploys standards, methodologies, and best practices for applications utilization, business process improvement, application interfaces, and report writing. Documents procedures, applications interfaces, service level agreements, and other methodologies related to applications systems.
Set up administrator and service accounts.
Work closely with ITS Business Office to ensure appropriate controls and auditing in place for application use and costing.
Researches, communicates, and trains end users on functionality of available tools, including vendor supplied and TS supported applications and systems, and best practices while looking for opportunities to improve end user knowledge and proficiency.
Identifies, researches, and corrects issues within various applications and systems, or the many third-party integrations. This ranges from user training/login issues to response time between API servers, database integrity, and functionality changes. Maintains data hygiene and accuracy with full understanding of how the data is being used or stored.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes.
Attends meetings and trainings as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Equivalency:
Associate degree or 60 college hours in related field
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Related Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of working experience related to IT application administration listed in the essential functions of the job classification.
