STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Summary of Job Classification:
The ITS Information Management Specialist is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and assisting with accessibility and information governance tasks for the ITS Department for the Colorado Judicial Branch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function listed below satisfactorily.   • Analyzes digital content for accessibility and usability issues.
  • Recommends necessary changes to improve the accessibility of websites, applications, and other digital resources.
  • Works closely with developers, engineers, designers, and other Judicial personnel to implement accessibility features.
  • Tests digital content with various assistive technologies including but not limited to, screen readers, text-to-speech software, or web/application crawlers.
  • Creates and maintains documentation detailing accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Provides training and guidance to other Judicial personnel on accessibility and information governance best practices.
  • Stays up to date with the latest accessibility laws, standards, and guidelines.
  • Assists other Information Management personnel with any data governance or knowledge management needs.
  • Assists data governance and knowledge management programs as needed.
  • Attends meetings and trainings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Library Science, Information Science/Accessibility.

OR

Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience:
Minimum 1 year of work experience related to accessibility or information governance relevant to the essential functions of the job classification.

Physical Effort Requirements:
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human bod. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
