We are a medium sized cannabis greenhouse grow in Pueblo County. We are looking for a Compliance/Office/Sales Manager. The position will require you to transition from office work and sales work while maintaining compliance. 40 hours will be available depending on your flexibility to help other departments. A reliable vehicle is a must. You will have some dirt roads on your commute and will need reliable transportation for all weather conditions. Knowledge of Metrc software is highly recommended.
You will need to ensure that our existing operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. You will supervise company compliance to support retail, cultivation, marketing and other relevant lines of business involving regulatory compliance. You will insure our compliance training is up to date and provided to all staff. You will also provide advice on compliance to team members. You will conduct regular on sight facility audits based on regulatory requirements; and ensure the monitoring and tracking of various compliance data. You are responsible for the compliance oversight of all employees ensuring that executives, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies while also ensuring the all team members are working and adhere to all company guidelines. This role ensures that company compliance rules and regulations are being followed, and that we maintain consistent auditing standards at all times. You must understand the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Marijuana Enforcement Division, OSHA, Fire Department(s), City Zoning and Planning Department(s), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and more. You will ensure compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulatory agencies including licenses, permits, and other authorizations related to compliance. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and maintain professional relationships among all departments and various regulatory agencies. You should be familiar with risk management and our industry’s standards. Your goal will be to ensure we operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, develop, implement, review and adjust procedures in order to ensure the company's compliance
- Follow M.E.D compliance rules and make sure the facility & employees are compliant at all times
- Keep Metrc up to date & accurate [make plant & package tags as needed]
- Light office work as needed (will train)
- Sales and inventory management (will train)
- Payroll/HR paperwork & timeclock software (will train)
- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
- Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
- Keep abreast of compliance and rules changes in the evolving industry
Skills
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager or Relevant Work Experience
- Experience in risk management
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls
