ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary :
The Social and Behavioral Sciences department at Colorado Mesa University is seeking a Clinical Instructor of Psychology. Colorado Mesa University is a state-funded, largely undergraduate institution that emphasizes quality teaching. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, which is typically four, 3 credit hour classes a semester. Courses will be taught via a combination of in-person, hybrid, and distance delivery modalities. In addition, this position would spend 8 hours a week in the CMU Behavioral Health Center providing therapeutic services to CMU students including evaluation, assessment, counseling, and psychoeducation services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned) :
Teaching core and elective undergraduate psychology courses, which may include the following topic areas : General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Processes and Techniques, Group Counseling, and Psychological Interviewing.
The ability to teach in-person lecture format, as well as online.
Provide mental health counseling services to students which may include evaluation, assessments, and other testing measures. Maintain compliance training through Community Hospital to complete necessary documentation for behavioral health services provided at the CMU Student Wellness Center. Provide necessary information to complete credentialing for existing group insurance contracts. Complete all documentation within 24 hours of provided service. Coordinate with Student Wellness Center staff to assist students with necessary support.

Minimum Qualifications Required :
- Master's degree in Clinical, Counseling, Mental Health, or a related Psychology field required (including but not limited to social work).
- Experience teaching undergraduate-level psychology courses.
- Experience with classroom technology and learning management systems.
- Licensed or license-eligible in Colorado as an L.P.C., L.C.S.W., or Psychologist
Preferred Qualifications :
