Front Desk Staff
Supervision and Training:

Oversee daily operations at the front desk, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.

Conduct performance evaluations and set individual goals for front desk staff.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for front desk staff.

Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.

Train staff on new technology and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Create and manage front desk staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak
Office
Operations
Housing Operations

Manage housing applications, exemption requests, and room assignments, utilizing professional judgment to assess exemptions based on documentation and insights from other departments.

Approve room changes for students in exceptional circumstances.

Coordinate early arrivals, housing extensions, and key processes for specific student populations, including ADA, Gender Inclusive, Greek, ISEP, NSE, Bridge, and athletics.

Bill students for sanctions they receive in conduct meetings.
Customer Service
-
Provide accurate, patient, and consistent customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions with students, families, and the university community.

Compose clear and professional correspondence with students and parents as needed.
Departmental Collaboration and Process Improvement

Participate in decision-making regarding departmental operations, housing assignments, and application processes, recommending improvements when appropriate.

Support the development of effective policies and maintain an up-to-date policy and procedures manual.
Event Coordination

Assist with Fall move-in by organizing scheduling software and managing volunteers and paid assistance.
Budgetary Duties

Assist with departmental and student employment budgets.

Manage inventory and office supply orders.

Reconcile purchasing documentation.

Occupancy Report Preparation:

Compile and analyze occupancy data for regular reporting.

Provide insights that support strategic decision-making by leadership.
Support for Leadership Tasks:

Undertake various administrative tasks as directed by upper management.

Facilitate communication and coordination among departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Duty

Serve as on-call contact for campus emergencies through Admin Duty Rotation, generally every one out of five weeks.

ACCOUNTABILITY
TO RESULTS
The Manger
of Operations and Technology supports the effective management and development
of Residence Life operations, focusing on consistent, professional
communication with residents and the university community, front desk staff,
and budget management.
Oversee
the assignments of approximately 3,000 on-campus students, ensuring processes
for housing assignments are up to date and correct
Supervise
front desk student staff, ensuring they are well-trained and informed on the
latest policy updates given by the University
Maintain
and update the 3,000 on campus student accounts in StarRez, Maxient, and Banner
systems
