Job Description:
As the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Colorado Mountain College, you will play a critical role in ensuring an inclusive, innovative collection of welcoming, relevant, and efficient student services that offer positive interactions and encouragement for students as they progress on their academic journey.
Cultivate a positive campus environment for all stakeholders, overseeing and ensuring quality in a broad range of student-focused work, including recruitment, enrollment, orientation, advising, and retention.
Analyze the efficacy and impact of all programs and events, adapting accordingly to meet the changing needs and demographics of our campus community.
Stay current on best practices in higher education student affairs programming, state and federal laws, regulations, and codes governing same, developing and implementing creative student services initiatives and programming.
Provide individual student advising and advocacy, interpreting assessments, generating comprehensive academic plans based upon understanding of program requirements and individual students' aptitudes and propensities.
Supervise department staff, ensuring the highest quality campus enrollment, advising, access, and career services, guiding initial training and continued professional development.
