Job Description
At Colorado Mountain College, we seek a dedicated professional to serve as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. This individual will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive campus environment, ensuring student success, and promoting inclusivity.
Cultivate a supportive atmosphere for all stakeholders, overseeing quality student-focused work including recruitment, enrollment, orientation, advising, and retention.
Ensure behavioral health and basic needs resources are available and communicated to the campus, coordinating commencement ceremonies, and analyzing program efficacy.
Serve on campus leadership teams to provide holistic insight and guidance on campus operations, initiatives, and outreach, while participating in adjudication of Code of Conduct and Title IX proceedings.
Provide individual student advising and advocacy, offering high-quality guidance, care, mentoring, and knowledge tools for college success, monitoring student progress, and maintaining records to guide retention and completion initiatives.
Oversee department staffing, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring highest quality campus enrollment, advising, access, and career services, guiding staff training and development, and developing strategic course scheduling and faculty co-curricular supports.
Actively participate on collegewide Student Affairs Leadership Teams to collaborate on best practices and systems, contributing to long-term goals and implementation at the campus level, building relationships with colleagues, and serving as student liaison/advisor.
Evaluate and adapt programs and events to promote unity, equity, care, innovation, and integrity, ensuring alignment with college commitments.
