Summary
CNS is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Maximo Application System Program Manager to lead a mission-critical enterprise transformation effort. This position will spearhead the upgrade of Colorado Springs Utilities’ legacy Maximo system to the latest Maximo Application Suite (MAS) platform. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT and asset management professional with deep domain expertise in Maximo EAM, complex system integrations, and enterprise program delivery. Essential Functions

Provide end-to-end leadership for the migration to Maximo Application Suite (MAS), including program planning, architectural alignment, implementation, and post-deployment optimization.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, system integrators, infrastructure teams, and business units to ensure MAS is implemented to meet scalability, performance, and security standards.
Direct the configuration and optimization of key MAS modules, including but not limited to:
Administration
Asset Management
Contracts and Procurement
Financial and Budgeting
Inventory and Supply Chain
Preventative Maintenance and Work Orders
System Security and Integration Services
Establish governance frameworks and best practices for change management, system configuration, testing, and deployment strategies.
Assess current state architecture and customizations; lead efforts to minimize legacy technical debt and align with out-of-the-box MAS functionality wherever feasible.
Oversee data migration, system integration, and API development efforts in partnership with internal IT and external vendors.
Act as the technical point of contact for MAS program strategy, guiding enterprise asset management policies, application lifecycle, and long-term support models.
Provide executive-level reporting, stakeholder alignment, and risk mitigation planning throughout the program lifecycle.
Champion the adoption of ISO 55001 asset management principles, system sustainability practices, and industry-aligned application strategies.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing enterprise-scale Maximo programs, including full life cycle implementations or complex upgrades
Deep functional and technical understanding of Maximo EAM and MAS modules across utilities or asset-intensive industries
Strong track record of leading cross-disciplinary teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, integrators, and business analysts
Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, SharePoint)
Extensive experience managing cloud-hosted enterprise applications, integrations (e.g., ESB, REST APIs), and ITIL-aligned service delivery
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to technical teams and executive stakeholders
Preferred Certifications
PMP or PgMP (Project or Program Management Professional)
ISO 55001 or equivalent ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 45001)
IBM Maximo or MAS Certifications (preferred)
ITIL v4 Foundation or Practitioner
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position operates primarily onsite at Colorado Springs Utilities locations, with potential hybrid flexibility based on project phase and business needs. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and requires close interaction with business, IT, and vendor teams. Standard office conditions apply, with occasional site visits or travel required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional after-hours support or weekend work may be required during key implementation milestones.
Business-related travel may occur and will be at the employee's expense.
