Insurance Authorization Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely insurance verification and authorization processes. This position requires strong knowledge of medical office procedures, specifically BOTOX, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and insurance coding.

Duties
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Obtain necessary authorizations for BOTOX procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve insurance-related issues
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical record management and documentation

Skills
To be successful in this role, the Insurance Coordinator should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and medical terminology
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification/authorization processes
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and managed care systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
