Experience is preferred but is not required. We encourage you to apply if you do not have experience. We are willing to train a team member with the desire to learn the optical industry.

Responsibilities

· Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.

· Perform preliminary tests such as autorefraction, visual acuity tests, visual fields, fundus photos, and tonometry as directed.

· Perform advanced pre-testing techniques such as OCT, Lipiscan, and IPL treatment.

· Educate patients on contact lens use and train patients on insertion and removal. Order contact lenses for our patients.

· Guide patients with frame and lens selection. Place eyewear orders and bill insurance. Verify the accuracy, dispense, and custom fit eyewear.

· Schedule appointments and manage patient records in our electronic health system.

· Edge lenses on our in-office blocking and edging machines.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly demeanor when interacting with patients.

· Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Basic understanding of optical products and terminology related to eye care is helpful but can be trained.

· The ability to use optical equipment and technology efficiently and accurately is helpful but can be trained.

· Strong organizational skills, with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

· Willingness to work as part of a dynamic team, supporting your colleagues and contributing positively to the workplace.

• Optometry: 1 year (Preferred but not required)

Important Requirement:

• You will need to have full availability between the hours of Monday - Friday 7:30am - 6:00pm and occasional Saturdays 8:30-3:30pm.
