ABOUT THE COLORADO SECTION, PGA OF AMERICA
Founded in 1916, the PGA of America has grown into the world’s largest working sports organization with more than 28,000 members and associates. Today, from its national office in Frisco, Texas, and 41 affiliated Section Offices throughout the United States, the PGA of America directs extensive programs that impact every aspect of the game. The PGA of America also hosts several annual events including the Ryder Cup, The PGA Championship, and The PGA Club Professional Championship. The Colorado Section of the PGA promotes the game of golf for the golfers of Colorado, Eastern Wyoming, and a small part of South Dakota. The purpose of the Section is to promote enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry within the Section. The Section accomplishes this purpose by enhancing the skills of its professionals and providing opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees, and the general public within the Section. The Colorado PGA has more than 900 PGA Members and Associates.

ABOUT THE PGA REACH COLORADO FOUNDATION
The PGA REACH Colorado Foundation works daily to support our over 900 Colorado PGA Professionals and Associates to make a difference in local communities. Programming ensures that regardless of your age or background, cost will never inhibit one’s involvement and enjoyment of the game of golf. The mission of the PGA REACH Colorado Foundation is to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Professionals, PGA Sections, and the game of golf.

SECTION STAFF MISSION
To provide a first-class experience for Colorado PGA Members and the Foundation community in all tournaments, events, initiatives, and programming. We have a “team first” culture and work in a collaborative, fun, safe environment. Our team has a passion for sharing their love for the game of golf with others.

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW: The PGA REACH Colorado Foundation in partnership with PGA REACH is offering an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the business aspect of the golf industry by hiring an individual to work on our team for an anticipated 6-month term. The position would work in a team environment to implement programming through the three pillars of the PGA REACH Colorado Foundation - Youth, Military, and Inclusion. The PGA REACH Colorado Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and philanthropic arm of The Colorado PGA Section, one of 41 Sections across the country dedicated to growing the game of golf, serving the over 900 PGA Members and Associates, and elevating the standards of the PGA of America Golf Professional. Our team at the Section Office is composed of dedicated, passionate people who care deeply about serving our Professionals and community through golf. We are hard workers, we are creative, and we have fun!

The CEO/Executive Director of the Colorado PGA has had a track record of placing Fellows in future opportunities in the golf industry. Of the eight PGA REACH Fellows who have worked under him, six have moved on to other positions within the industry. While there is no guarantee of future employment, career planning for this new employee would be a priority for the CEO/Executive Director. *Employment in the state of Colorado is “at-will.” There is no guarantee of continued employment. All employees can resign at any time, with or without notice, and the Colorado PGA retains the right to terminate any employee, with or without cause, and with or without notice at any time.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position shall be responsible for the planning and implementation of all Section and Foundation-related growth of the game programs designed to expose, cultivate interest, and increase retention in the number of golfers across the Colorado Section. Programs include but are not limited to: the Colorado PGA Junior Tour, Golf in Schools, PGA Jr. League, Drive, Chip and Putt, PGA HOPE, and numerous other outreach programs. This position will be the direct resource to PGA Members, Facilities, Partners, Volunteers, and Allied Associations within our boundaries for initiatives to create a successful life-cycle of golf that will positively impact the value of our Colorado PGA Professionals, ultimately strengthening facility golf operations.

MINIMUM JOB DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Assist with PGA HOPE programming and operations including communications with PGA Professionals and military services centers, tracking and reporting, veteran volunteer program, and marketing/PR.
● Assist in the conducting of the Colorado PGA Junior Tour
● Assist in the conducting of Colorado PGA Championships
● Assist with Drive, Chip & Putt local, and sub-regional competitions
● Assist in managing the PGA Jr League across the Colorado Section
● Assist with the Colorado PGA Golf in Schools Programs
● Advocates to industry employers concerning the PGA Professional's critical role in growing the game through Junior Golf and other Growth of the Game initiatives
● Provide administrative support to all other Colorado Section PGA Departments and employees when and where needed and perform other tasks as assigned assisting the Colorado PGA with all aspects of PGA REACH Colorado Foundation programming.
● Assist with PGA REACH Colorado Foundation Fundraising events and initiatives
● Assist with PGA REACH Colorado Foundation marketing, communications, and PR including website updates,
social media, creative marketing, and email communications.
● Assist with the recruitment of PGA Members for and promotion of Youth Development Programs.
● Assist with the setup, execution, and management of all Colorado PGA events, including Section and youth events.
● Develop strong relationships with PGA Members throughout the Colorado Section

● The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
● Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
● While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TRAVEL: The employee must be able to drive the company vehicle/van and/or drive to and from various locations throughout the Section within a 100-mile radius.
LOCATION: Our headquarters are located at the Golf Club at Bear Dance in Larkspur, CO. We Service all of Colorado, Eastern Wyoming, and parts of South Dakota.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

● Undergraduate Degree
● A valid Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle required
● Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required
● Excellent computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, and Canva
● Skills in social media marketing and communications
● Well-organized, punctual, and energetic
● Willingness and ability to work in a team environment and travel
● Willingness and ability to work overtime including weekends
● Willingness and ability to be flexible to additional job duties

Benefits/Compensation
● Non-exempt hourly position that pays $18 per hour with a 6-month pay equivalent to a guarantee of $18,750
