Child Care Aide

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

21 years of age of older

Six months qualified experience

Knowledge of State and Federal Day Care Center regulations

CPR and First Aid Card, State of Arizona IVPP fingerprint card required

Lesson planning experience

Ability to bend, stoop, walk, lift and carry a 40 pound load, climb steps, oversee children activities

Job Goals:

Provide Academic and developmental assistance to students in the program

To maintain the highest quality learning environment

Performance Responsibilities:

Supervise and be actively engaged with children assigned to your activity area

Responsible for children's health and safety at all times

Planning and conducting developmentally appropriate activities

Maintain daily communication with parents

Maintain accurate records (i.e. attendance, diaper logs, accident reports, etc.)

Assist with care and maintenance of equipment, facility cleaning and sanitation

Model quality teaching practices and serve as a mentor for CTE students

Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation guidelines

Treat all children with dignity and respect; follow discipline procedures as outlined by Director

Engage in behaviors conducive to team building with other staff, such as open communication, encouragement, support and tolerance of other teachers

Complete a minimum of 18 hours of professional development

Assist Director in planning and conducting special events

Attend and participate fully in monthly staff meetings and required training programs

Complete other duties that may be necessary to fulfill the needs of the program, or as assigned by the Director

Pay: $15.70 - $17.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
