Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Sports Coach to join our team. As a Assistant Sports Coach, you will be responsible to assist the head coach in teaching and coaching various sports activities to students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes.
Must haves:
You must have an IVP Fingerprint Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Coaching Certificates: Concussion in Sports, First Aid, Health & Safety and Fundamentals of Coaching
Driver License
Social Security Card
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging sports coaching sessions for students in various sports such as Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Baseball, Spirit Line Coach
- Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies of the respective sport
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve their performance
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
- Manage behavior and maintain discipline during training sessions
- Develop training programs and practice schedules
- Organize and supervise team practices, games and tournaments
- Collaborate with the head coach and staff members to ensure effective program delivery
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents or guardians
Experience:
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is required
- Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more sports disciplines.
- Experience working with children or students of different age groups
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff members
- Excellent organizational skills to plan practices and manage schedules
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
