Tribal and Indian Preference: The Colorado River Indian Tribes has implemented a Tribal/ CRIT Preference in Employment Policy. Pursuant to this Policy, applicants who possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by this position, and who are enrolled members of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, will be given primary preference in hiring and employment for this position. Duties & Functions:
1. Coordinates all Early Childhood NOPA and FTF affiliated workshops & activities within CRIT, which focus on nutrition, physical activity and early childhood development for parents and children 0-5 years of age.
2. Assists in developing, implementing, disseminating and evaluating educational materials and programs related to early childhood development.
3. Assists in developing, presenting, disseminating and evaluating subject matter related to nutrition and physical activity for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5 years.
4. Writes monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed for submission to First Things First.
5. Develops strategies to improve participation and retention of the FTF Target population.
6. Promotes, attends and participates in community activities and other similar events.
7. May complete other duties as directed that are within the scope of project activities and/or responsibilities.
8. Travels as needed to perform work functions and attend trainings.
Required Skills & Abilities:

Education & Experience Requirements:
1. Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2. Associates Degree in health-related field is preferred. (Educational requirements may be substituted on a year for year basis with related work experience.)
3. Two years of experience related to the coordination and implementation of community projects, previous teaching/facilitation experience and recent experience in the field of early childhood education/childhood development.
4. Possess a valid Driver's License.
5. Employment is subject to fingerprinting for the purpose of conducting a background review of possible criminal history in accordance with P.L. 101-630, Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
