JOB SUMMARY

The Restaurant and Bar Supervisor provides oversight for all components in the resort’s food and beverage operations. As a direct report to the Resort Manager, this management role will work to support the overall goals of the resort in concert with the objectives of the restaurant and bar facilities, such as; profitable operations, a safe and inviting environment, and optimum customer service proficiencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Responsible for all aspects of the effective management of restaurant and bar environment; front and back operations

· Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal personnel and external guests

· Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans

· Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and guests-service standards, resolve problems, identify trends

· Enhance department and overall business reputation by accomplishing new and different goals and objectives, explore opportunities, add value to existing products and services

· Foster teamwork; lead, direct, mentor, train, coach and guide subordinate employees to meet and exceed standards

· Oversee restaurant employees to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment

· Responsible for safeguarding all cash and charge receipts generated each day

· Responsible for safeguarding all resources of the establishment through protective and loss-control measures

· Ensure total compliance with alcohol and alcohol service policies; effectively and compliantly addressing any compliance issues immediately

· Responsible for weekly liquor inventory and reconciliations

· Maximize profitability by monitoring inventory control on a regular schedule

· Monitor safe food handling and secure cash handling within all applicable compliance standards

· Provide quality products to ensure agreement with desired guest services

· Utilize a Point of Sale (POS) System for auditing income and inventory data

· Abide by all California State Liquor Laws, and Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol and Beverage Ordinance and obtain and keep current with all required certifications for each

· Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health and Safety Regulations

· Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Skill to demonstrate or perform short order cook experience

· Ability to effectively and positively communicate, read and write in English

· Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced environment

· Knowledge and ability to use basic math functions as they relate to POS cash/credit card transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

· Knowledge and ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

· Knowledgeable of all laws, policies and procedures related to the position

· Knowledge and ability to attend trainings for a comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting program for mitigation of Covid-19 and other infectious diseases

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Twenty-One (21) years of age

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Current valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

· Advanced food service sanitation training course certification and keep current; or attain certification within 90 days of employment

· One (1) year supervisory experience working in a fast-paced, quick service, environment

· Possess and maintain a valid CRIT Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, California Liquor Liability and Control Management Certification; or attain certifications within 90 days of employment

· Bondable/Insurable

· Inventory control or POS experience helpful, but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Physically able to perform duties required and assigned

· Regular, intermittent and prolonged; standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing or balancing.

· Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds and push, pull or drag up to 100 pounds.

· Vision and hearing abilities required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position

· Work schedule flexibility to include; weekends, holidays, seasonal demands, extended shifts, and varying hours depending on business needs
