What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Educator position at Colorado River Regional Crisis Services?
- Build and maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new partnerships.
- Participate in gathering community data to assess program effectiveness, increased or additional service needs, and community resources
- Maintain daily program records that represent outreach services; detail services and referrals provided. Ensure timely and accurate collection of data for workshops including tracking and monitoring participant attendance, demographic information as well as pre and post survey data via the database system.
- Facilitate public awareness activities, health fairs and presentations in schools, community centers and other public gatherings.
- Participate in National Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities, and National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month activities.
- Initiate and facilitate outreach activities to include community resources, support and educational groups for victims/survivors of domestic violence, and training for advocates and community agencies.
- Implement trauma-informed domestic violence and teen dating violence educational programs for youth as well as survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Assist with the development and enhancement of curricula including the creation and finalization of lesson/session plans as well as related materials such as handouts, PowerPoint presentations and evaluations; continuously update training content with the most up-to-date research about domestic violence and trauma.
- Advocacy duties – as needed; direct and on-call services to victims including safety planning, accompanying victims to law enforcement offices and hospitals, victim intakes, and referrals. Maintain appropriate records and meet walk-in clientele.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
