PT- Grounds Crew – Ballpark Operations
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing grounds, turf and landscape maintenance assigned by the Head and Assistant Groundskeeper.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform turf and landscape activities such as such as dragging the infield for in-game maintenance, raking, tamping and watering the playing field.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of irrigation system.
- Assist with the set up and removal of batting practice equipment.
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Assist in the placement and removal of the infield tarp during inclement weather.
- Assist with cleanup and maintenance of tools, equipment and the shop work area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Skills and knowledge to perform routine manual and physical tasks regularly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and consistent punctuality.
- Ability to operate grounds equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
- The seasonal groundkeeper work schedule operates from March – October. Includes long and flexible hours during the baseball season such as weekdays, weeknights, holidays and weekends.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Hourly Rate: $19.07/hour. This is a regular-status, part-time position.
- As a candidate in this position, your salary and related compensation elements will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills, and any other factors the Colorado Rockies consider relevant to the hiring decision.
