Responsibilities:
- Assign personnel to established work areas or specific project duties.
- Plan and coordinate project work to ensure proper frequencies are maintained.
- Ensure staff receive proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education, and that duty lists are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
- Monitor associates' attendance and take proactive action when patterns of absenteeism are observed.
- Provide guidance and motivation to associates to help them perform to their fullest potential, and discipline when necessary, following progressive disciplinary guidelines.
- Maintain proper supply control guidelines, ensuring staff are trained in the correct use of all chemicals.
- Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections, proactively identifying and addressing facility concerns, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed promptly.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained, addressing client concerns and monitoring service binders daily.
- Assign and monitor the use, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring all equipment is clean, organized, and professional in appearance at all times.
- Manage records, logbooks, and necessary documentation, keeping them current and accurate.
- Conduct associate performance evaluations with guidance and approval, and participate in disciplinary meetings and corrective actions as needed.
- Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings, ongoing staff development, and training sessions as required by the company and facility.
- Maintain a safe work environment, report unsafe equipment or practices, and participate in the department safety program.
- Ensure that all housekeeping offices, storage areas, and closets are clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Handle special requests or projects and assist housekeepers when necessary.
- Respond to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency, taking necessary corrective actions and following up in a timely manner.
- Ensure the integrity of facility security is maintained at all times.
- Prepare reports, disciplinary notices, and variance documentation, conducting follow-up investigations and reporting findings to the appropriate leadership.
- Lead and facilitate team meetings, training sessions, and department performance reviews.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs with the General Manager and Property Engineer to ensure property standards are upheld.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager.

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college To excel in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of progressive hotel or related field experience; OR a 2-year degree with 5 years of experience; OR a 4-year degree with 3 years of experience.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing systems.
- Valid driver's license (as applicable).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to evaluate complex information and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
