Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across our organization. This is a critical role that will play a pivotal part in streamlining our business processes and improving operational efficiency.
Term:
This is a Temporary position that will work 40 hrs/week for this implementation only. This effort is currently underway and anticipated to extend for an estimated 14-18 months (subject to change). The ERP Implementation Project Manager must work onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the ERP implementation project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to deployment and post-go-live support.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
- Manage a cross-functional project team, including internal staff and external vendors.
- Ensure timely and clear communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Schedule and manage work packages, tasks, and milestones using project management tools (e.g., MS Outlook and MS Project).
- Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
- Manage the relationship with the selected ERP vendor, ensuring their deliverables meet project vision, goals, milestones, and timelines.
- Oversee the data migration process and ensure data integrity throughout the implementation.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement a robust organizational change management plan to minimize disruption and encourage user adoption.
- Track project budget and expenses, maintaining financial accountability.
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Coordinate and conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support during the system rollout.
- Identify and document lessons learned throughout the project for future improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex projects.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and their implementation methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience building and working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Proven experience in creating, coordinating, and delivering end user training.
- Proven experience in change management and user adoption strategies.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Project Manager certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desired.
Organizational Relationships
· Reports directly to the Director of Digital Solutions.
· Collaborates with other divisions and departments to support technological needs and initiatives across the district.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a typical office environment.
Physical Demands
· The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity. The position requires walking or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and using hands for typing or operating computer equipment. It also requires the ability to speak and use normal or aided vision and hearing.

Pay: $38.00 - $46.00 per hour
