Facilities Maintenance Specialist (Locksmith/Security Systems)
Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to perform specialized skilled building and maintenance duties, the majority of which will include locksmith, security systems, HVAC, and plumbing. It's expected that the majority of this position will be responsible for performing locksmith and security systems-related work, while a smaller portion of work will support HVAC and plumbing maintenance and repair across Colorado Springs Utilities' facilities.
What Will You be Doing?
- Installing, repairing, and replacing locks, padlocks, and additional hardware for facilities security purposes
- Performing regular maintenance of exterior doors, locking devices, and inspecting key pad codes
- Maintaining requisitions of new purchases and inventory of supplies and equipment
- Rekeying locks, repairing door closures/hinges, and all related door hardware
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing systemic lock and/or hardware problems
- Cutting new or duplicate keys using specialized cutting machinery, and creating new keys by impressioning
- Maintaining master key system records
- Performing building preventative and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshooting electronic door hardware
Who You Are
- Demonstrated experience with facilities maintenance and security; experience performing locksmith-related duties
- Experience with performing basic HVAC and/or plumbing repair and maintenance is valued
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license; this job requires operating Colorado Springs Utilities' vehicles to perform job duties
