Gas Pipeline Inspector - MODIFIED
This is a modified job posting; only regular full-time employees in the Gas Construction Quality Control group are eligible to apply for this position.
Our Gas Construction Quality Control group is hiring two (2) Gas Pipeline Inspectors to support inspections and installations of gas-only and joint trench (gas and electric) service lines to ensure any work performed meets system design, regulations, and codes.
What Will You be Doing?
- Conducting onsite inspections including final inspections for both natural gas service lines and electric service lines in joint trench applications
- Overseeing and validating testing of natural gas service line systems
- Providing solutions to ensure compliance with required standards, specifications, and codes as identified by organization GLESS standards, as well as those established in CFR 192
- Ensuring contractor construction materials meet specifications
- Locating natural gas service lines and wrapping damaged and exposed natural gas pipelines and dispatching personnel for repair of severe damage
- Performing gas pipeline pressure tests and reviewing and interpreting results
