Colorado State University ( CSU ) is Colorados land grant institution and holds the Doctoral/Research University Extensive classification (R1) from the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. Founded in 1870, CSU enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The Department of Occupational Therapy is one of eight academic programs in the College of Health and Human Sciences. The Departments mission is to optimize human performance and participation in everyday occupations and contexts across the life span. U.S. News & World Report ranks the program among the top-ten in the U.S.
We offer an entry-level OTD and a PhD in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science. Consistent with CSUs culture of excellence, faculty in the Department have an established record of innovative education, research and community-based practice and engagement. In addition to the academic unit, the Department comprises two outreach and research arms: the Assistive Technology Resource Center and the Center for Community Partnerships.
CSU is housed in Fort Collins, situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Located approximately an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 170,000 residents. Required Job Qualifications
- Evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Evidence of an established research program (including funding, publication and collaborations) related to the study of participation in everyday occupations and/or human performance that supports participation
- Evidence of successful mentoring of graduate students or successful mentoring of early career researchers
- Evidence of experience in graduate-level teaching
- Earned research doctorate
- Experience teaching/conducting qualitative and quantitative research and/or teaching the neurological underpinnings of occupation
- Experience in implementation science or interdisciplinary research
- Eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in Colorado
