The Digital Transformation Specialist will lead the exploration and implementation of digital innovation and technology modernization efforts within the Veterinary Health System. This crucial new role will focus on optimizing medical record systems, diagnostic Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), RIS/PACS (Radiology Information / Picture Archiving and Communication systems), and other digital platforms to enhance operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will drive the adoption of AI tools, advanced data modeling, client interfaces, and digital strategies that align with the organization’s mission to deliver top-tier veterinary care.

The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

A signing bonus and relocation expenses may be available for eligible and successful candidates.

Required Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in digital transformation, IT management, or a similar role within healthcare, veterinary services, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale IT/digital transformation projects, with specific expertise in EMRs, LIMS, RIS/PACS and AI integration.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, and reporting within a healthcare or veterinary context.
Skills
  • Leadership and strategic planning abilities with a track record of driving digital transformation in complex environments.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in medical record systems, diagnostic LIMS, AI applications, and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Experience in the veterinary health sector or familiarity with veterinary-specific systems and workflows.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the veterinary or broader healthcare industry.
  • Advanced degrees (Master’s, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.
