Position Summary
This position will support the Extension County Specialist, 4-H Youth Development, Montezuma County with a focus on creating an agriculture program and preparing for the Montezuma County Fair. Duties will include but are not limited to, contacting local agriculture producers, contacting catering companies, creating judging folders, contacting sponsors, creating social media posts, working with the Fair Board, and interacting/corresponding with 4-H members and parents.
This position will start as early as June 1st and run through August 9th (We are flexible with start and end dates, depending on candidate availability.) The person in this position will work up to 29 hours a week. Except the week before the Montezuma County Fair. This position will be expected to work up to 40 hours that week.
Since this is a position that works with youth, there are different situations that arise in the office, and we ask that privacy is respected and kept confidential during these situations.

Position Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work with attention to detail, accuracy, and complete projects in a timely manner.
- General office skills such as filing, organizing materials, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely as demonstrated through application materials and experience.
- Demonstrated basic computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with youth in an educational setting.
- Knowledge or experience with 4-H.
- Knowledge of basic cash handling and fiscal responsibility.
- Willingness to assist other staff in the performance of their duties.
- Demonstrated experience working with people as individuals and in groups; ability to forge equitable and successful partnerships with other professionals and organizations.
