From water damage restoration to plumbing repairs, we help restore homes and businesses affected by disasters. We are a growing company, and we are seeking a Drain Technician to join our team. The position requires a consistent work schedule of Thursday to Sunday 12 PM to 10 PM.
The Drain Technician is responsible for providing professional drain cleaning, inspection, and maintenance services for residential and commercial properties. This role involves identifying and resolving drain issues, including clogged drains, backups, and pipe malfunctions, using specialized equipment. Technicians are expected to deliver high-quality customer service while ensuring the safety, functionality, and reliability of the plumbing systems. Those filling this position must be able to qualify for military base access. A background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen are part of the hiring process.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, clean, and clear clogged or blocked drains using various tools and equipment (e.g., augers, hydro-jetting, or snaking equipment)
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive measures to keep drainage systems clear and functioning
- Ensure all work is done in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of drain systems, including visual assessments and camera inspections, to diagnose issues
- Identify potential problems such as cracks, leaks, or root intrusion, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Respond to emergency drain calls, including blockages, backups, and flooding, providing immediate service and troubleshooting
- Use specialized equipment to resolve urgent issues quickly and effectively
- Communicate clearly with clients to explain drain issues, solutions, and estimated costs
- Operate and maintain drain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols when handling and operating equipment to prevent accidents or injuries
- Document the work performed, including the diagnosis, solutions, and any parts or materials used
