Job Title: Colorado WaterJet Estimator
Department: Sales
Colorado WaterJet (CWJ) is looking for an Estimator who is a motivated self-starter and will thrive in our systematic yet dynamic work environment. The Candidate will be involved in all aspects of our operations. The Estimator takes a customer’s request and oversees the manufacturing of the delivered product. In this position you will solve problems for our diverse customer base which creates a stimulating work environment.

The successful candidate:
- Is a quick study and has great attention to detail.
- Possesses a basic understanding of geometry
- Has basic knowledge of CAD
- Has good verbal and written communication skills. This Estimator position is a customer facing role where being well spoken is key.
- Has the ability to write clear and concise instructions for Machine Operators
- Will be able to effectively prioritize multiple projects
Job Summary:
- Evaluate customer requests and requirements with respect to CWJ’s processes and capabilities
- Assess customer drawings for suitability and completeness
- Manage customer and job information
- Maintain regular communication with customers by email and phone, regarding RFQ and PO status
- Create CAD files and determine if special processes are required
- Check inventory for material requirements and obtain price quotes as needed
- Become an expert in material cutting times, cut quality, and costs
- Compose and submit quotations built around a diverse set of cost parameters
- Contact customers to follow up and explain the quotation
- Write detailed instructions and procedures related to individual jobs
- Use PO information to create/release job tickets to production
- Evaluate pricing accuracy after job completion
Training Candidate will:
- Spend 2-4 weeks in our shop learning hands-on how to run our waterjet machines.
- Learn all quoting processes directly from our experienced Customer Service Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
