Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production

Job Summary:
- Thoroughly analyze all information on Production Instructions, checking for errors and inconsistencies and discussing with appropriate personnel as needed
- Operate abrasive water jet shape cutting equipment: position and clamp material on cutting table, open job file, check/set operating parameters (material, thickness, tool radius, tool height, cutting mode, nesting, array, etc.), remove and wash finished parts, mark parts as required, refill abrasive hopper
- Assess customer quality requirements and ensure that they are met
- Monitor system operation and condition, such as incoming water pressure, cutting pressure stroke rate, leaks, etc.
- Fix minor problems, notify appropriate personnel as needed
- Employ problem solving and troubling shooting skills to identify root causes
- Dry and package jobs for shipment in a timely manner in coordination with shipping schedule
- Stage materials and jobs for efficient use of time and other resources
- Process material drops and scrap for reuse or salvage as appropriate, mark drops with material type and thickness, and customer name if customer provided material
- Maintain and optimize material storage, general order, and cleanness of shop and outside storage areas
- Ensure company resources are used in an effective manner to minimize operating costs
- Seek continuous improvement initiatives for increased capabilities and accuracy
Qualifications
- Basic Tool Knowledge
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
