The Global Business Manager for Controlled Release Excipients will be responsible for managing the global strategy and operations of our controlled release excipient products. This includes market analysis, business development, strategic planning, partner relationships, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and growth of our product lines worldwide.
Responsibilities & Duties
Global Strategy: Develop and implement global strategic plans for the controlled release excipient product line, including market segmentation, competitive analysis, new product development, and product positioning.
Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify global trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand the global reach of our products.
Sales and Marketing Support: Work closely with regional sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, applications data, provide product training, and support sales efforts.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners across different regions.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze global product performance metrics, including sales data, market share, and customer feedback, to inform strategic decisions.
Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to drive continuous innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in global business management within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on excipients or drug delivery systems.
Strong understanding of controlled release technologies and excipient functionality.
Proven track record of successfully managing global product lifecycles from concept to market.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
Working Location
This position can be remote or based at one of Colorcon’s global locations.
Travel: Up to 25% of global travel will be required, annually.
