Van Driver Responsibilities

• Present a professional, neat appearance, maintain good attendance record, and arrive at work at the scheduled time.
• Have effective customer service skills and good attention to detail.
• Operate a company van to transport goods according to assigned schedule.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to management promptly.
• Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Responsible for verifying that the correct materials are loaded in or on their truck and that they arrive at the delivery site undamaged.
• Maintains telephone contact with manager to receive additional or updated delivery instructions as well as contacting customers when making jog site deliveries
• May be required to pickup materials at sites to be returned.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record from the RMV.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (Hand truck, fork truck, pallet jack, etc).
• Must be comfortable driving a cargo van or a box truck.
• Fundamental computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must understand the urgency and importance of following up.
• Knowledge of paint, paint sundries and related products strongly preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
