Description
Colossal Contracting is looking for an IT Project Coordinator to support our PMO team in Annapolis, MD sitting onsite with the ability to move to a hybrid schedule in a few months. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and programs and will act as an alternative point of contact for those projects. They will observe projects from original concept through final implementation. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Help with running project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables. Facilitate the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables while developing the skills to provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
An ideal candidate will be a quick learner, highly adaptive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable with periodic travel out to project sites throughout the U.S.
Requirements
- Provide end-to-end project management for complex IT projects and / or programs which include requirements gathering, analysis, design, planning, development, implementation and testing of technology solutions to ensure project requirements have been met and to ensure conformance to development standards and methodology.
- Work with business customers and partners in designing, defining, planning and implementing technology solutions to meet business needs and specifications.
- Ensure organizational needs for the development and implementation of technology solutions are documented.
- Track project progress, monitor and modify project schedules and provide status updates to project team.
- Provide insight and knowledge into improving processes related to portfolio, project and program management.
- Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance as well as various technical certifications as needed
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
Required Education & Experience
Travel Required
Travel may be required out to customer sites throughout the US.
Work Environment
The majority of the work will be performed in-office out of our Annapolis, MD headquarters, however periodic visits to project sites may be required. Project sites include but are not limited to office buildings, hospitals, federal agencies, military bases, and cleared facilities.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8 : 30am-5pm with hours that may flex based on project requirements.
