Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of programming, GD&T, and the use of precision measuring instruments. The CNC Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure quality and efficiency in the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, ensuring they are set up correctly and functioning properly.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations required.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges to verify dimensions of machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Package finished products according to company standards, ensuring safe transport and storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming and operation, with experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles for interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment (certification preferred).
- Experience with welding processes is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
