Assistant Studio and Brand Manager

ColsenKeane Leather Goods & Provisions is currently in search of an Assistant Studio and Branding Manager.

This role will exist in our brick and mortar store in the historic Elizabeth neighborhood, near the Hawthorne Gold Line Rail station. Our Assistant Studio and Branding Manager will be the face greeting our in-person customers and the communicator answering online customer inquiries. From displaying and demonstrating our products in the workshop to carefully packaging them for shipment, the Assistant Studio and Branding Manager makes the retail space spin on its axis and walks our amazing customers through the beautiful process of leather hide to handcrafted leather goods of their dreams.

Working hours of this role will be Tuesday - Saturday, 3 weeks a month, and Monday - Friday, one week a month from 9:00 am - 5:00pm, and will consist of both online and in-person sales, social media posting, client care, and shipping and handling.

Our studio is a creative work space bustling with the energy of active production and this role requires you to be adaptable, fast-moving, driven and professional.

A successful candidate must meet the following expectations:

• Proven experience in retail sales preferred
• Computer and online fluency
• POS/retail software experience preferred
• Social media savvy
• An affinity for long-haul quality craftsmanship and the craftspeople who make them
• Available full-time schedule, including three Saturdays a month
• Exceptional work ethic; the ability and willingness to hustle; understand the importance of follow-through
• Consistently demonstrate a commitment to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, attendance and timeliness
• Demonstrates clear communication in listening, writing, and speaking
• General understanding of branding/the ability to learn our brand
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Extremely detail oriented
• Some working knowledge of merchandising and the ability to create attractive store displays

Other helpful experience/skills:

• General knowledge of or background in marketing
• Social Media content creation and moderation
• Photography skills
• Experience using: Notion, Tick Tick, ShipStation, InXpress, Klaviyo, Phone.com, Google Suite

ColsenKeane is a small, family-owned leather company located in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. Our studio space on E. 7th at Hawthorne contains a retail showroom, 4 large workbenches where our skilled leather smiths build hand-crafted leather goods that we sell from our storefront, and a variety of other artists in their own private studio spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
