Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for servicing the needs of existing assigned customers and developing new prospects to increase the company’s sales and margins. They must assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products in a timely manner. The work location of this position will be determined at time of hire and should be located at a Colson Group location as this will be a hybrid position.
Essential Job Functions
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries.
- Build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
- Work closely with field sales on unique and large opportunities.
- Coordinate opportunities and strategize with other department members.
- Generate revenue growth by working with existing and new customers.
- Take ownership of all activities related to sales and account growth.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the company’s product portfolio.
- Work with customers to identify solutions that fit their needs.
- Provide quality quotations and ensure all quotes are accurate and complete.
- Configure and prepare quotations utilizing ERP, PLT, and other necessary systems.
- Manage existing customer relationships to develop additional sales and ensure ongoing business retention using a planned contact system.
- Handling your own book of business and working within a specific territory.
- Identifying decision makers and gaining business intelligence through conversations.
- Creating opportunities through calls and emails.
- Lead Management, qualification, and either assignment or follow up.
- Following up with all opportunities to close the sales cycle.
- Logging all activity into the CRM database.
- Assisting other team members with workload when needed.
- Continuously strive for process improvements, reduce inefficiencies, and increase profitability.
- Abides by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
