What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Supervisor (or Laser Supervisor) position at Colson Group?

Colson Group USA is seeking a CNC Machining/Laser Supervisor. This is a hands-on supervisory role working with a small (8 to 10 employees) crew split between CNC machining (predominantly on lathes) and laser cutting. These are job shop style departments working on smaller quantity production directly linked to customer orders.
Essential Job Functions:
- Scheduling of jobs inside of the department
- Daily review of production focused on improvements
- 5S and organization of departments
- Train and lead a motivated team
- Programming of CNC machines using Mastercam software
- Programming/Nesting of laser cutting machine (Amada/Bystronic)
- Tool Management
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a CNC Supervisor or Programmer role preferred
- Knowledge of laser cutting systems preferred
- Ability to use all programs in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Familiar with ERP Systems Experience with Fusion 360 a plus
