SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in the engineering, design testing, quoting, and technical documentation process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervises and trains Engineering department personnel.
Reviews and develops systems and procedures used in the engineering and quoting functions and
assures they conform to company policies.
Works with other departments in support of goals and objectives.
Performs annual performance review of Engineering personnel.
Creates and monitors departmental budgets and spending.
Provide technical support and direction to Designers and other departments as required.
Reviews applications with customers and recommends appropriate products.
Provides customer support and acts as a liaison to resolve application problems.
Supports external customers' requirements by visiting their locations and recommending appropriate products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages Engineering Staff. Oversee Maintenance & Tool & Die. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Proficiency using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms
- BS in engineering required
- 4-5 years relevant work experience
- 1-2 years management experience
- Master’s degree in engineering or MBA a plus
