We are seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven Transportation Lead to direct, transportation activities, including unit movements and fleet maintenance. The Transportation Lead will manage all transportation-related activities, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of units between locations, to and from off-site events, and across our company’s entire transportation network. This role requires a proactive individual who can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining an unwavering focus on safety, compliance, and service excellence. You will lead a team of approximately six (6) transporters and collaborate with third-party service providers.
Requirements:Essential Functions:

Scheduling & Coordination:
- Plan and schedule all unit movements across company locations and off-site events or shows.
- Manage scheduling for OSD units.
- Coordinate transportation logistics with third-party transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Fleet Management & Maintenance:
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the company’s fleet, ensuring vehicles are compliant with all safety regulations and are operational.
- Monitor and track fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all OTR (Over-the-Road) drivers comply with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct safety training and maintain safety standards across the transportation team.
- Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor, and lead a team of transporters, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and meeting performance expectations.
- Onboard, and retain porters, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with “Pay Per Move” drivers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on expectations and timelines.
- Communication & Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all transportation inquiries and issues, providing timely updates to internal teams and clients.
- Maintain high customer service standards by ensuring the on-time and safe delivery of units.
Requirements:

Experience:
- Previous driving/towing experience is required.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Previous experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- RV experience and knowledge are a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience with DOT compliance, fleet management, and safety regulations is highly preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Solid computer skills, with a preference for experience with transportation management software, scheduling tools, and basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds as required by the nature of the job. Lifting requirements can vary based on the specific duties involved. Generally, handling items that include parts such as tires, batteries, plumbing materials, or even smaller items like appliances or tools.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates will complete pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug test.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred.
