What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator - Second Shift position at Colts Manufacturing Company Llc?
The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate organization and completion of all shipping-related tasks. This position will coordinate and track shipments, ensure all orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner. May communicate with vendors, customers, and other departments.
- Prepare necessary shipping (bill of lading) documentation.
- Expedite outgoing shipments (invoices).
- Receive all incoming phone calls and correspondence.
- Ensure the filing accuracy of invoices, debit memos, shipping orders and bills of lading.
- Calculate accurate freight rates and select proper mode of shipment.
- Process returns for credit and adjust inventory as required.
- Set-up shipping scheduled with transportation companies, dispatch offices and request carrier pickups.
- Ensure the timely flow of invoices between shipping and sales accounting a d ensure all invoices are properly disposed.
- Work closely with sales accounting, marketing, credit, firearms control, and other departments to insure proper and timely shipment of our product.

Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with shipment of Colts firearms
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a shipping/logistics role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.
