We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time) to become a part of our team! We are a busy and growing pediatric office in Colts Neck, NJ. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Prepare patients for exams or treatments
- Take and record vital signs
- Update electronic health records
- Perform non-invasive screening tests
- Assist with other medical procedures, such as injections or blood draws
- Prepare exam rooms, ensuring proper inventory of supplies
- Assist with administrative tasks if necessary, such as scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- EMR experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- CMA credential
- CPR certification
- BLS certification
- Medical office experience a plus
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
