Overview
Assists pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to patients; interacts with patients providing information and education on their prescriptions through completion of sales transactions.
Pharmacy Assistant salary range: $18.28-$21.48 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for dispending medication to patients. 2. Responsible for maintaining cash drawer and associated documents according to CBHA cash handling guidelines. 3. Responsible for proper handling and storage of medication. 4. Responsible for processing medication refill requests.
5. Responsible for daily administrative and clerical support.
6. Other duties as assigned. 7. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.8. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
Qualifications
Professional and Technical Knowledge:Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
License and Certification:Ability to possess an active Pharmacy Assistant License from the State of Washington.
