Job Summary: The Cross Country/Track and Field Graduate Assistant will provide event training and management of event group as well as overall support of Cross country/Track and Field Program.
- Assist the head and assistant coaches in training of student athletes. Preparing them mentally and physically for practice and competition.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Coaching and training of student athletes in particular event group.
- Supervision of practice, study hall or other team events while head coach or assistant coach are away.
- Proficient in working with word, excel and power point.
- Have appropriate boundaries with student athletes, assisting them in becoming the best student-athlete they can become.
- Participation in program and athletic department fund-raising efforts.
- Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must be accepted in to the Graduate Program at Columbia College.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a college environment
- Experience in sprints & hurdles, jumps, throws
