What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Court Clerk position at Columbia County Government?
This is a full-time position, 40 hrs/week in the Columbia County Clerk of Court Office. Responsibilities will relate to all matters related to criminal, traffic, small claims, civil, judgment and liens, family court or jury applications. Assignments will include case management, drafting and processing legal documents, participating in court proceedings, maintaining official paper and electronic documents, and counter assistance in the office. Other duties will vary as assigned including financial and calendar matters. Required to meet one of the following: Associate Degree from an accredited vocational, college or technical school in bookkeeping, accounting, or business law and a minimum of two (2) years of responsible office experience, or High School diploma or its equivalent supplemented by post high school course work with at least two (2) semesters in bookkeeping, accounting, or business law at a vocational, college, technical school, or on-line course and a minimum of two (2) years of responsible office experience. Computer Experience required. Hire rate: $23.96 per hour.
