Job Summary

Columbia County, Oregon seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Corrections Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the safe and secure operation of our facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for remotely controlling access throughout the facility, monitoring security systems, and ensuring the welfare of adults in custody.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a correctional setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated security systems and control access to the facility.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Collaborate with corrections deputies and other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain a first aid/CPR card within three months of hire.
  • Knowledge of business software and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
