Job Title: Deputy District Attorney I

Salary: $8,282-$10,527 per month (40 hours, Non-Civil Service, FLSA exempt)
The Columbia County District Attorney's Office seeks a highly skilled and motivated Deputy District Attorney I to represent the State of Oregon in the prosecution of felony crimes and misdemeanors. Our team is committed to upholding justice and protecting victims' rights.
Duties:
- Represent the State of Oregon as a trial lawyer in circuit and justice court proceedings.
- Assist the District Attorney in performing all functions, including arraignments, release hearings, restitution hearings, plea/sentencing hearings, and more.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited law school.
- Two years' experience in the practice of law or satisfactory combination of experience and training.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a District Attorney's Office.
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar.
- Valid driver's license and insurable under the county's liability policy.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
- Thorough knowledge of criminal laws and courtroom procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
