Columbia County Public Health is committed to improving quality of life and protecting the health and well-being of all residents. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in addressing social, economic, and environmental conditions that impact community health.
The position requires a strong understanding of environmental science and health principles, as well as knowledge of state and county codes relating to each program. You will work collaboratively with employees, other agencies, and county officials to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships.
Jurisdiction includes but is not limited to public drinking water systems, food, pool, and lodging facilities. EHS II performs advanced, more complex compliance work.
