Job Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Utility Worker to provide routine cleaning and light maintenance of assigned county buildings, vehicles, and grounds. The ideal candidate will possess strong janitorial skills, basic computer knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide regular cleaning and sanitizing of restroom facilities and fixtures
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors and carpets
- Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment
- Wash windows, mirrors, and walls
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste and recycle bins
- Drive and park transit vehicles around confined parking areas
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Equivalent to a high school diploma or satisfactory combination of experience and training
- Prior janitorial work experience preferred
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new situations
- Valid driver's license and insurability under the county's liability policy
